Benthic barriers, better known as lake mats, are specifically designed to block sunlight, preventing all aquatic plant growth. The mats are weighted down and secured to the bottom of the lake or pond to prevent vegetation growth.
We will install mats before weed growth at the beginning of each season and remove them at the end of the season.
In the fall, we remove, rinse, and prep them for winter storage to ensure they remain functional.
